As we go through the year and the seasons change, so do our health needs.

It is a great help to our health if we are in sync with what our body needs and we get involved in the process. Below is a simple guide to what we might be able do to help our bodies through-out the year at various times. It is only intended as a common sense primer to help you think. It is a place to start the ball rolling.

Health is a complex set of variables. Do your own research, think lots and listen to your body.

Talk to experts in the feild. We will start with Fall, and some of the things we can do to prepare our bodies for winter and the changes in lifestyle and activity levels winter confronts us with healthwise.

The Fall
August - October

Cleansing your body: I know that I will sound like a stuck record on this one, but unless you live an active lifestyle and have a diet that consists of a high proportion of fibre and unprocessed food, cleansing your colon is always going to be a priority on your 'personal wellness calendar', no matter what time of the year it is. If it isn't, it needs to be!

A healthy colon makes such a huge difference to everything relating to your health and sense of well being. Your colon can become such a toxic environment.

Staying at work in these tough times can be a pressure lurking in the background as we think about our health. Our jobs are increasingly critical to us and our families to simply stay afloat economically. Personal health becomes very very important.

Winter is a hard time emotionally and physically. Join a gym or do something during the week that gets you active and out there with people. Cabin fever sets in with Colorado weather, storms and snow. The winter blues is not so called for nothing. When it's fine get out there.

Looking after your mental state as well as your physical take on an increased importance. If we find ourselves sitting in front of the television much much more than we like, just switch it off. You have the power of choice.

Get physical, look after your mind and body and there is absolutely no reason why winter cannot be a fine old time and when spring and summer come around again you will be ready to go.
